Our Social Men’s team won 5-1 with the score being 4-0 at half time. They played really well together, and said it was great to have Tom Bevan back from injury! They have a big game next weekend against top of the table South Hobart, and need a win to cut the lead at the top to six points going into the second half of the year. Well done to goal scorers Alex Edwards, Emerson Kelly, Max Waters, Kaspar Deane, and Ed Strugnel.
Our WSL Pirates were definitely the underdogs going into the game against Devonport Strikers on Saturday, but found themselves leading the game at half time thanks to a brilliant piece of ball thievery by Madi James only minutes into the game. Our Pirates fought hard for the full 90 minutes, however they suffered an unfortunate, but close, 1-2 loss. They now set their sights on South Hobart as they seek out their first win of the season.
Best of luck to all our teams this weekend, check out game times below and get on out to support our teams this weekend!
