WE ARE HIRING: SKiLLS COORDINATOR

Taroona FC are looking to hire someone in a paid role to undertake the SKiLLS Training Program Coordinator role for 2025.

The Coordinator will be available to coordinate the program in each of the 4 school terms on Mondays and Thursdays between 3pm and 6:30pm.

The Coordinator will be available to coordinate & coach school holiday clinics (dates can be flexible for the Coordinator).

PURPOSE OF ROLE 

To develop and increase the quality of the SKiLLS Training program that supports the values of Taroona FC; to engage participants in a positive and encouraging environment; to lead coaches by example; to coach participants through sessions; to develop session plans; to deliver a program that is fun and encourages all levels of skill/ability including high performance/academy. 



KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY 

  • Create an environment that is consistent with values of Taroona Football Club

  • Demonstrate clear communication and positive engagement with participants and coaches 

  • Communicate/manage coaches and players at the sessions and via Stack Team App chat group

  • Develop and deliver an effective periodisation plan and session plans

  • Ensure instructions are clear and appropriate education of exercises/skills/games provided 

  • Report safety issues/incidents/accidents 

  • Set up/pack down of venue & program

  • Provide attendance reports & session feedback 

  • Submit fortnightly timesheets to SKiLLS Program Administrator


KNOWLEDGE, BEHAVIOUR & SKILLS REQUIRED 

  • Good communication skills 

  • MiniRoos & Skills Training Certificate (or willingness to obtain)

  • Proven experience volunteering/working in junior and youth football

  • Strong interest in engaging players in positive playing environments 

  • Desired - Knowledge of football within Australia
