Taroona Football Club is excited to welcome Riley Pitchford to the club, as the new TFC SKiLLS Training Program Manager.
Riley joins us as he continues his role working for Football Australia, facilitating junior club and school programs across Tasmania.
Riley has previously coordinated club junior development and academy programs at Kingborough Lions Football Club & Clarence Zebras Football Club, and coached with the high performance youth teams and programs at Olympia Warriors Football Club.
Riley is in the process of completing his Football Australia Coaching C-Licence, and has his Game Training Certificate, Skills Training Certificate and MiniRoos Coaching Certificate.
Riley will take over the role from Holly-Lace Ayton from Term 4 2022, that will see Holly-Lace move solely into the Head of Junior & Youth Development at Taroona Football Club, as she has taken on a full-time role for Football Australia which has her traveling interstate and overseas often.
Riley will be looking to continue to grow the SKiLLS program, with a large focus on increasing participation numbers for the junior and youth, to enable the club to begin grading programs and teams. This allowing the club to have players for social teams & development/high performance teams.
Riley will be focusing on continuing to improve the quality of the program and will be mentoring the coaches.
"I’m super excited to take on a new challenge, working with an amazing group of coaches and players.
Taroona FC have the foundations of an incredible program and I hope I can help them achieve new heights.
I’m looking forward to working in an environment where the entire team (of staff/volunteers) are working toward the same goal, with player development at the heart.
Bring on 2023! Let’s go Pirates! 🏴☠️"
Join us as we welcome Riley to our wonderful club.
